Elegant & Stylish Arts Ballroom Wedding

When you book an Arts Ballroom wedding, you’re in for a treat. It’s location, elegance, and food are a wonderful combo for any couple looking for the downtown ballroom vibe.

In one of the Loews hospitality suites, Maddie and her ladies were having an amazing time getting dolled up and drinking mimosas. One thing to know about Maddie is she’s super laid back and chill. It was one of the most stress-free bridal suites we’ve been in. Maddie excitedly pointed us in the direction of her details, and we were equally excited by when we noticed that RAM Floral specifically set aside florals for her detail shots! Her impeccable taste made these photographs a joy to take. As we met up with Tom just down the hall, the vibe was equally as relaxed. Tom is a quiet, but genuine guy, and you could tell he was really ready to see Maddie— and maybe even a little nervous. But his groomsmen kept the jokes rolling as the guys got in their tuxes.

We decided to meet on one of the top floors at the Loews Hotel. Its incredible views of the Philly Skyline are one of the best in the city. As Tom turned to see Maddie, his expression said it all. First looks are so good, you guys.

The best part about a hotel like Loews is there are tons of options for indoor wedding photos if needed. It wasn’t the nicest day outside, so Maddie and Tom opted to stay indoors for their wedding portraits. From the top floor views, to the stunning staircase and some grand windows overlooking the city, their wedding portraits were a vision.

The Arts Ballroom is a gorgeous wedding venue and we love shooting there. The marble staircase from which the bride descends is truly a highlight. On this particular day, the floral design by RAM Floral added A LOT of extra style to the space, that was truly perfect.  Maddie leveraged her sister’s design skills for the signage and menus, which just kept the elegance rolling.

When the ceremony began, Maddie ascended down the stairs and Tom had the biggest smile on his face. Their moment had arrived! Months of planning their Arts Ballroom wedding had come to fruition and you could feel the joy in the room. The couple exchanged very short by sweet vows, and while Maddie’s mom couldn’t contain her tears, Tom couldn’t contain his grin. As soon as they sealed it with a kiss, everyone was ready to party.

Arts Ballroom has an elaborate cocktail hour space, and plenty of choice when it comes to the menu. Maddie and Tom made their way around to greet their guests, as we slipped in the ballroom to photograph more glorious details meticulously planned by Maddie. They practically ran down the steps for their big entrance, as the DJ played “Found You” by the Alabama Shakes for their first dance. After Maddie and Tom completed their parent dances, friends and family stood up to toast the newlyweds. Every speech highlighted a facet of their love and devotion for each other and those that are important to them.

When the lights went down and the dance floor opened, it was apparent that 90% of the guests were really ready to get down. The dance floor was packed, the drinks were flowing, and we saw moves that we hadn’t seen before. The pictures say it all!

Thank you Maddie and Tom for allowing us to capture your Arts Ballroom wedding!
