Kaitlin and Matt have to be the biggest troopers we know when it comes to moving their wedding day. The couple was to be married at The Lucy in May 2020, which clearly didn’t happen. So when their August date was threatened to move to October as well, they decide to have a small backyard wedding. Then October would prove to not be feasible for the type of wedding they envisioned, either. In the end, the couple were ready to start their married life, but really desired some epic photos in their wedding attire. And so, with the big wedding off the table, we picked a beautiful Sunday for a portrait session of epic proportions.

We snapped some getting ready photos, both at the bride’s parents’ home, and at the couple’s home in NJ. Nearby Riverwinds was an excellent first look spot near the water, before we headed into Philly to hit up several locations of the couple’s choosing. On the list were Elfreth’s Alley, City Hall and Broad Street, and ending with Water Works. Not only did Kaitlyn and Matt look stunning, but we all had so much fun taking our time getting beautiful portraits.

While this blog doesn’t look like a “typical” wedding day, it is the story of Kaitlyn and Matt, and we were so happy we got to celebrate their wedding, even if it looked a whole lot different that originally planned.
